Frequently Asked Questions:

Is EcoChit recyclable or compostable?

EcoChit is recyclable, as is the core, and box it is shipped in. Due to the chemical composition of the phenol free thermal coating on EcoChit, the paper, core, and shipping box can be recycled but not composted. Please check with your local municipality for complete sorting details.

Where can I buy EcoChit?

EcoChit is currently available in Canada, U.S.A, and Australia. Purchases can be made through Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. For a complete list of distributors please contact us.

Can you supply EcoChit through my local distributor?

Yes, contact us to discuss this further.

What does Phenol-Free mean?

Phenol-Free means that our paper is made without the use of Bisphenol A (BPA) and Bisphenol S (BPS) which are commonly used for manufacturing receipt paper. Instead we use Pergafast® 201 which has shown no negative side effects in humans.

Why is using Phenol-Free paper important?

Bisphenol A (BPA) and Bisphenol S (BPS) cause chemical and hormonal imbalances in the body.  These are transferred through the skin immediately when handling receipt paper. Exposure of these chemicals has lead to serious side effects including cancer. It is important to use a Phenol-Free product like EcoChit to protect your customers and employees from frequent exposure.

Can I incorporate my companies branding with EcoChit?

Yes. Contact us about branding options.

Where do you plant trees?

Our reforestation partner One Tree Planted plants trees where they are needed most in the world in regions such as North America, Latin America, Asia and Africa.

Can I request my trees be planted in a specific area?
